Garage Sale

This morning, we participated in the semi-annual Villages of Brentwood neighborhood garage sale! We were worried that it may be a waste of time since we really didn't have any GREAT items to sell. But, it turned out to be a beautiful day for a garage sale, and we ended up having alot of fun peddling our stuff and visiting with our neighbors. Plus, we were amazed at how well we did! Here's a pic of Scott and Keaton bright and early at 7am.

Scott called Keaton our "closer."

Squeaky Feet

Keaton is getting better at walking (albeit with a crutch). His shoes provided the sound effects.

Scott actually created this blog entry.

Must See TV

Keaton has caught on to our Tuesday night tradition!

Perfect Easter

We had a terrific time in Greenville spending Easter weekend with family. God blessed us with safe travel (despite the 3 hour delay on Friday b/c of tornado warnings!), beautiful weather, delicious food, happy babies, and so much fun! It was so great to watch Keaton play and interact with his cousins. Our sermon on Sunday reminded us that Christ's resurrection not only solved the dilemma of death (we no longer have to fear), but it solved the dilemma of life. Our life between now and eternity is not meaningless, and our daily activities have eternal consequences and value in God's eyes. What an encouraging and motiviating Easter message!

Here are some of my favorite pictures from the weekend:

All the grandkids! Caroline, Keaton, Douglas, Matthew and Laura

Keaton loved Easter eggs!

Me and my cousin Matthew - just wait until I can walk - we will be unstoppable!

Go Jason!

I have to brag on my youngest bro, Jason. He plays basketball for the Wesleyan Christian School Mustangs in Bartlesville, OK. He had an amazing season this year! He finished the season (his junior year) as the leading high school 3 point shooter in the state of OK and 3rd in the nation (all classes) with an average of 4.9 three-pointers/game. He also came in 5th in the state for actual points scored with an average of 21.5 points/game! One of the worst things about living so far away is that I did not get to watch any of his games. Next spring, we may have to make a few special trips home to see Jason rock the court his senior year. Here's an article that was published about him in our local newspaper. If you click on the image, it should bring it up larger, so you can read it. Go Jason!

It's fun to work at the...

I know, so dorky! I just couldn't resist. I finally started my new job today! For those of you who don't know, I started a part-time job working in the nursery "YPlay" at the Maryland Farms YMCA. I'll be working Wednesdays and Friday mornings from 8-12. It is not much money, but I get to bring Keaton with me, and I get a free membership to the Y - the best part! I'm very much looking forward to getting back in shape and taking advantage of their amazing outdoor pool this summer. My first day was very interesting. The infant room (babies 6 weeks - 18 months) was fun but CHAOTIC! By 9:30, I was thinking to myself "Holy Cow! I've only been here and hour and a half!?" But, once I started getting the hang of everything, I felt much more comfortable and the morning flew by. Keaton did remarkably well. He got a little clingy to me a few times when I would hold and play with other children, but nothing a quick cookie bribe couldn't handle! The other girls that work there are very sweet. Most of them are in the same boat as me - stay at home moms that just want to make a little extra cash without sacrificing time with their children. Keaton crashed on the way home (as I knew he would), poor boy. All in all, I'm very excited about this new opportunity!

Keaton's New Ride

We went ahead and put Keaton in his new car seat a few weeks early (don't turn us in!). He's been well over 20lbs for months, and we are hoping this will make our trip to Greenville next weekend a little easier. He seems to enjoy the next experience of riding facing the front!
